A walk out of the city

I walked out of the city today in search of a Korean National Historic Site. It is one of two lakes near Jecheon. Typical, I got lost. I found myself walking through dried out rice patties. The walk was pleasant, if not cold. It was strangely peaceful. It was the first time that the sound of tires humming across pavement, and the noisy Hyundai engines clunking away faded into silence. You don't realize how loud it is in the city until you leave it.

Compare these photos to a pictures I took on the walk back. The street pictures are just common side streets, with common houses.
