"Brown Teacher"

Students call teachers, "선생님= seun seng nim."  Teachers call one another this too out of respect.  Titles are important in Korean culture.  I believe this is done in part out of respect for hierarchy.  Some students call me "Brown Teacher."  Family name and title.  The 5-7 year olds call me "선생님."  They are more familiar with that than they are with "teacher."
