Korean Class

My Korean teacher came to class to announce that we weren't having class.  Instead we were going to go to the University for the conclusion of Sports Day.  Every level of school seems to have a "Sports Day."  We were a table of 10.  A British girl, a Canadian, 3 Americans, 2 Chinese, and 3 Koreans.

I talked to a couple of our Korean teacher's university students from China.  The two spoke in Korean and I managed to understand some of it.  The unmanageable pieces were translated by a Korean English instructor.  I asked the Chinese students if they would stay in Korea or go back to China after school (Engineering and Architecture students).  They said without hesitation they would return to China.  I asked if they would have a Korean, or a Chinese wife.  They said without hesitation Chinese wives.  I asked why.  They both replied, "We have the same thoughts."

This morning 10 Moms in my Parents' English Class pressed some questions like, "Do you want to get married?  How many Children do you want?  What nationality wife do you want?  What do you think of Korean women?"  I don't think I fielded the last question properly.  I think in reality I just don't know the answer yet.  I said in every country/culture you will have different kinds of women... (not a bad remark)... then I said that I find Korean women to have alot of emotion, and I mentioned the famous Korean Dramas.  That was not likely the best answer.   I came back to it later being displeased with the way I left it.  I added that in general I find Korean women to be family oriented.  Then I described Dr. Yoon.  She is strong, very funny, and says what she thinks.
